Portal 2 - 3 Million Copies Sold

Word reaches us via [url="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/22/newell-portal-2-has-sold-3-million-copies-since-launch/" ]Joystiq[/url] that Gabe Newell has revealed at the [url="http://gamesforchange.org/festival2011/speakers/gabe-newell/" ]Games for Change festival[/url] that Portal 2 has sold 3 million copies since it was released (following the Potato Sack ARG) on the 18th April. Gabe didn't mention platforms, so we must assume he was talking about sales across PC/Mac, 360 and PS3. Oh and of course it is more than likely that figure includes Steam sales. Pretty good going I think for a simple puzzle game.

Black Ops, which is one of the best selling games ever, (despite how bad it is) has sold 7 million copy's but across a larger period of time.. so 3 million in what 3 months? that's pretty ****ing good..
