However at the same time it is not possible that you haven't heard that song during the past 2 years especially being one of the most active members of the game's most active and rabid fansite. Perhaps you lost internet connection at the time it was released and only got it back several months later?

I haven't been too active in the past couple of years, mainly because of school.


Christ I love Portal. And GLaDOS. And those turrets. I found them so damn funny. The only con I can think of this game is that it's a bit short.

Heh. That's actually what I did until... now. Now I've got a new computer, and got rid of that Pentium 4 + GeForce 6600, I can play the newer games now.

Perhaps I should try another 2007 game. :E

Shit, you haven't played any games from the last 2-3 years? Ok then, you haven't missed out on too much, but you still have a lot of catching up to do. Obviously there's Valves games, I'd personally recommend not bothering with L4D now that L4D2's nearly out.

In terms of non-Valve games, CoD4 was very good (if somewhat generic) and I think is on sale on steam right about now, Fallout 3 was another big hit, if a bit of a time sink, Prototype was somewhat fun... umm... yeah, apart from a few Indie games you could have been playing on your old PC I think that's approximately the only ones that have caught my eye. Next few months look pretty good though.

Thank god I don't need to do too much catching up. I might have enough money for 2 ~ 3 games of 2007 and 2008. But really I should save that for 2010.






I was able to play L4D in "PC Rooms" abundant here. You pay $1 per hour to use their computers and play all the games installed. But beyond that I haven't been able to play anything from 2006 or so.

Edit: On another note, I have changed all the system sounds in Windows 7 to portal sounds.
