We have the sdk, we have the guide, now all we need is someone to port these things!
I'd do it myself, but I'm a damn noob when it comes to game editing. Anyone out there with skill willing to try it out?

Cool, I had missed this tutorial (I spent 8 hours yesterday reading them all and forgot this one :()

Seems a hell of a lot easier than I thought it would, gonna give it a try now, cheers for the link.

I believe that Valve have already ported the models and are working on the texture pack right now.
Don't ask me for my source of this information.
It's just a rumor I got from my friend.
He's actually quite a reliable source though.
so  :imu: :E

Sure.

And if you just think of something that makes you happy, YOU CAN FLY!

I drink Red Bull.

sometimes.

Alright Harry Potter, 'nough of that.

We'll just have to wait and see if it's true or not :p

So, will player models be auto-downloaded from DM servers the way they are on UT so that when I make my custom model of a heavily armed catholic school-girl, everyone else can see it blow them into tiny bits?

Nah, that's the high def pack for Half-Life on steam, as in the original Half-Life, not Half-Life:Source.

Ah! Is that the reason why i see ony the error logos in the game, when i apply this file?

Yeah, the models in the HD pack have the right names, so they do attempt to replace the HL:S models, but they're not the right format so you get error messages.
