Because i too seem to have this audio stuttering bug i was trying different things with my comp. Until i remembered, some sound problems with other games could be solved or at least lowered by disabling the Sound hardware acceleration.
To do this:
1. open command prompt
2. type dxdiag
3. open sound tab
4. move the slider for hardware acceleration all to the left
5. click on close
It seems to help getting rid of the stuttering, now after level loading, the game shortly freezes (might be my only 512 MB Ram). It doesn't play sounds while loading now, so no stuttering at all. it also seems to improve fps by a little and it even seems to load less inside levels. Console says, no Direct Sound driver installed, because of the HW accel disabled. But i still got all the sound i need, no errors so far. For advanced Users i prefer to try to lower the converting quality (sorry don't know the exact description in english, german windows over here
).
