Possible for server/hacker to change keys?

A strange thing happened last night. I was on a server where a guy started tking everyone. I swore a lot and asked if he could be banned. I was told no, because "it was funny"(?!). Anyhoo, I complained for a bit then left....

Next server I went into saw me run round a corner one slap bang into an opponent. "aha" I thought, easy kill. I dropped to my knees and unleashed the old M4. Except I didn't. What really happened was it flew from my hands leaving me with a knife instead! Need less to say I was killed in double quick time.... Then it happened the next round, and the next!!! Somehow my key bindings had changed, with mouse 1 causing the weapon to be dropped, and the weapon drop key doing nothing! I went to both in the keyboard section of options, and both had changed , appearing blank instead of having the usual bindings.

Anyone any ideas about this?

A hostile server full of jerks can change your key bindings.

Go and make your bindings again, then change the config file to read only that'll show 'em

And then stop playing on the server, when they've nobody left to fool with they'll give up.

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure whether I was going mad or not! I can't believe this is possible. Anyhoo, I've changed my binding back, and will make the config file read only from now (hell, it may work!)
