Possible HL2 CE delay?

I was just thinking about this. If the HL2 CE is supposed to include HL: Source wouldn't that require it to be completed before they can print the special edition DVD. If VALVe advertises HL:S to be included in the set they just can't say, "you can play it, but you have to wait til its done and then download it off of Steam." They cannot assume that all of their customers have an internet connection and therefore must include HL:S on the DVD.

Has anyone heard of HL:S going gold, I haven't heard anything about them sending an RC to VU, so I'm assuming its still in production.

Somebody please prove me wrong, I don't want to wait.

With very few actual changes
I doubt itd take very long at all to do

HL:S is "complete."

A member here sent an e-mail to Gabe and he indicated that HL:S, CS:S, and HL2 were sent on the same day and that was roughly 100 discs (all SKUs).

edit: I just found out that the original news post about the RC being sent to valve was edited later on to include HL:S.

However the possibility remains that HL2 could go GOLD but not HL: S.

All SKUs means all packages (standard and collector's) and all languages. So Valve essentially sent a copy of the standard edition and collector's edition in all languages that they plan to release it in.
