Possible models ?

Hey, i was just wondering if it was possible to use models with this quality in Source engine. Would it still run fine ?
Since me and another guy are creating a hl2 modification, pretty much inspired from Silent Hill so we are looking to have the best possible quality in the game.

This is the ingame models in Silent Hill 4.

it might be possible. it depends on the model's poly count(there are limits) and the textures can be a maximum of 2048x2048

but i doubt you could get it looking AS good.
 
Okey, but you can get it looking better than HL2 models
 
Yea, with normal mapping and a 1024x1024 texture, you could get a result pretty close to that. The only thing that makes this model looks good is the photorealistic high res texture.

Yea, just take a picture of a real person, do some modifications in photoshop and save it in a 1024x1024 resolution or more (2048x2048 wich is a little too high res imo) and you'll get a nice looking model but it will need a little more memory than usual models (so don't put 10 models like that on the screen or you'll get texture swaping in memory and a big loss in performance (probably the kind of hang you get in Doom3 when you go through a door).
