Possible to change password in my steam account?

Hey, I own Half 2 game, and have been playing it on my computer looong time ago. (It`s unninstaled now) I used my special password (one that I use for everything) on steam, and now I want to give this half-life 2 to a friend to play, but I don`t want to reveal my password for everything. Is there a way to change password somehow? And if so do I need to install whole game for it?

lol steam is a standalone software. games are just a part of it. just click settings and you will see it on the first tab.
