Yes I know it's just a rank, but it holds a few openings for me.

1.) The DAO-12. 'nuff said.
2.) I don't have to play as hard. The next rank is a year and a half away for me So now I can enjoy the game a little more. I wanted that unlock.
3.) The DAO-12.

But yeah, I know a sh itload of people around here are seargent and stuff...but that's all right. I know I suck at this game

What's your best experience in BF2 thus far?

God, too many to count. Taking flag after flag with a friend in Operation Clean Sweep, then hopping in a jet and dominating from above... god yes.

And the DAO-12 is that good? It looks really fun, but every time I get it I die. I'm a lance corporal with about 6,000 points, and I have the sniper unlock (everybody hates it, but I love it, and do great with it). I'm stuck between the DAO-12 and the G36C.

The engineer unlock is similar, but its the jackhammer0 love those gas powered shotties.

Ive unlocked the medic and secondly the spec ops gun, cos the new patch is gonna give points for blowing up assets, so itl be good to have a good gun with the spec ops kit.

Here's how I see my setup

Close/slightly medium range - DAO-12
Medium/High - Pistol *god I love that thing*
Tank/Helicopter/stuff - AT Rockets.
I'm feeling queer mood - Knife

All in all, I'm set. I have the PERFECT kit imho.

And I think the original Spec Ops guns are great! I don't know what everybody's problem is People also say all sorts of guns suck, but they are great to me. Maybe I just don't know what good REALLY is? /shrug

PS. Yes I do actually suck...I play a whole lot, *~100 hours?* and just NOW got corporal I don't ge great scores alot.

I chose the PKM, since I almost always play support.

It was a good BF2 moment but not my best. That would be the first time I played the demo in a functioning squad.

My best experience? Probably eing pinned down a one time on Karkand. Me and a group of guys (most not in the same squad) were pinned into this little alleyway by tanks, and on UAV, we could see an entire wave of soldiers on their way.

So the shit hits the fan, and we have to fight it out ourselves. I being the medic, am frantically running from man to man, reviving men here and there, healing men as they run back and forth from cover to firepoint. holding out my own alleyway, killing a fair 20 soldiers in a row.

I can't explain this adequately. You can hear the bullets wizzing by your head, the sound of flesh being smacked my a 1k + FPS led ball, MEDIC, MEDIC blaring through the air, so much dust (bullets hitting clay walls and dirt) that you can barely see what your shooting at, grenade hits the ground, RUN! Half the guys dead, revive them all, FWOOSH! An AT missile whizzes just inches from your face, BATOOSH BATOOSH! Our AT's let off a few round. BATWAH! One AT down, gotta revive him or we have no hope of getting out of this. BATOOCH!

Great game, really immersive :thumbs:

Pffff, I'm still lance corporal, I've got ~6500points and 69h10m played.

I'm gonna get either the M95 (I like to snipe people and this thing gives a lot of dmg; plus, it shoots through armored glass) or the DAO12 (It's damn satysfying to blow up tanks and I love the engineer's shotgun, so now I would have a shotty for the AT!)

We've got to play together, so I can pick up your kit when you don't need it anymore (you're dead)

i got corporal this week too and unlocked the medic gun but never really use it, the ak101 and PLA gun suit me better, more powerful with less recoil up close i find(i killed 2 spec ops guys on karkand bunnyhoping and firing full auto upclose with the ak101 whereas with the l85a1 i prolly wouldnt have, its good for medium range sniping though but i like to get into the thick of things), i own with the ak101, its an awesome rifle...

my best moment was when ocybr and i were on the Sharqi Peninsula and were MEC, he was the pilot and i was the gunner, he would hold the helo steady and i would gun down anybody that spawned at the base that was closest to the MEC helo spawn point. he kept getting assists and i kept getting kills in the end i had over 33 kills and like 4 deaths. atleast my proudest moment :E

on karkand ..for some reason on this 40 man server every single player was playing as a team ..on both sides ..we literally took a foot at a time after fierce fighting.
players for some reason just clicked, I never was low on ammo or health, teamates covered each other as people advanced. After one particular tough battle almost every teamate was killed by arty in one shot ..as we started out on the same flag and ran toward the frontline ...I looked on each side of me as 20 odd players ran up the street I thought to myself .."this is the shit"

I agree, for every 5 great squad based games I've played there's at least another 20 games where people spend their entire time doing whatever they feel like

I think part of the problem is not having favourites in the server browser ...hopefully the upcoming patch will fix that

by the way when does the new patch come out? hopefully soon, and if you have BF2 autoloader i think that it does have a favorites list...

best times ive had were back in the day when mr. redundant would lead our squad. we were such a cohesive unit, that regardless of how bad our team was losing when we joined, we always turned the battle. it just goes to show how well teamplay can be incorporated into the game. we really need to get back into that squad-based fun we used to have.

I hit corporal not too long ago and decided to get the PKM. Damn that thing lives up to its name of "Squad Killer"

If I ever get to the 25,000 mark I'm gonna get the DAO-12 for AT action.

I miss those demo days when we'd all play and just invade a server. Every day I'd way up, fire up Xfire and Redundant would be up at pretty much the same time, we'd find a no time limit server and hit the battlefield. Other hl2.net members would trickle in and we'd have a full squad eventually. After a few hours we'd take a break and come post here about our awesome rounds with screenshots and whatnot...ahhh....those were the days.

Then like only 10 of us bought BF2, we hardly get to play together and Redundant has disappeared into life.

Just finished my first night with the PKM. It rules. Imagine the RPK on steroids. The bullets have amazing stopping power: one or two shots in the torso are enough to drop a guy. If you like yer SAW/RPK, you'll fall in love with the PKM.

I know I have everything on low It's not my fault. For some reason my computer doesnt' want me to play on anything BUT. I defraged, and got everything to medium, and it ran..but had a few skips. and those skips mean life/death in this game. So I gave up trying to play on a good looking game, and went for full blown fun. Now my AT rockets don't lag either :cheers:

Best experience was yesterday playing the map Delian plant(32 player), we were getting powned, and powned, and powened thy had all teh flags, but then we somehow menaged to push and retake the most west base where our second attack chopper spawns, I took it and was realy good, and we were able to retake 3 bases, only the south west remained theirs. Then I went to the most east base where USMC chopper respanwns, but it didn't cause we had taken it. Anyway they were raping us with Bh's. So in that base I took the tow and shot 5 BH's and 4 cobra's, in less then 10 minutes. Eventually they retoke that base, but I hoped in to a tank, and took it back, and killed 1 BH with my tank and damgaed 3 others, by that time the cobra had spawned and by the time I retook the bese I went out of my tank and used the cobra for like 10/15 minutes, and powned them. Thei pilots could fly good, but they were not smart and did not take the time to leanr where all teh AA's and TOW's are, plus I was pretty lucky, cause eventually they started circling and killing us with BH's, and yet I still menaged to shoot them with the TOW.

I time on sharqui peninsula in the MEC attack heli I got a killstreak of 56 and final 181 points.
