I was just wondering what different medals and badges you guys have won so far and what you had to do in order to get them. The point is to eventually list all the awards and to have an idea of what you need to do in order to earn them.

After two days of playing, all I've managed to get is the Basic Medic Combat badge for getting 10 kills. Obviously I was a Medic.

Foxtrot/Dalamari: Nice job...but how did you get them? Just 10 kills with each class? Screenshots?

Edit: Also, Just got Silver Star but it wasn't a ranked server. ;(

First of all...how do you get Basic First Aid?

I have no idea how you get the medals, other then playing the class.

Im missing about 4 medals and it still shows me as being private.... for some reason it still has not added the stuff I got in my last game with Raziaar (on that 64 player server Raz). it's been longer than 10 hours too.

the medals were cool ones too, so they better update.
like combat experience, and something of excellence.
 
I haven't played on one ranked server yet. It's not that I don't want to - it's just every single one is full, I really can't be arsed to wait for a slot to open so I just hop on any unranked one. Shame though, I've been doing great :(
 
Airborne ribbon. Hardest award to receive, hands down. I also have a gold, silver and bronze star, along with a basic medic combat award, basic assault combat, basic anti-tank combat, and a bunch of others.
 
I've got a bronze star, and just recieved the basic engineering badge \o/

I was so happy at my achievment, so overjoyed with self pride, until I came here and saw that you're all bastages who play too much ;(

I've actually recieved basic engineering twice, but it didn't register the first one :/ I think the only reason I was able to get the medals at all was because EA released the new European servers, and I can now play without lag :D
 
Ive got silver and gold thingies (stars/ medals) and medic and armour combat. Not much- why would my progress towards my next rank be full up in that bar, but not going anywhere? Is there something i have to do to become Private First Class?

Are you sure it's just not very, very, very close to the next rank; and your scores haven't updated yet to give you that extra boost? :p

You're notified quite bluntly that you've gotten PFC.
 
Ah, oh, that might be it, it looks REAL close- will i get an unlock when that happens, or is it decided by some other way?
 
The next rank gets you an unlock. PFC just gets your a shiny little symbol next to your name in-game.
 
yeah as Pes said, when you reach your next rank, upon login you get a big congratulatory message showing your new stripes and rank.

also when you reach Lance Corporal you will get your first unlockable weapon selection. (after it informs you of your increase in rank, another window will give you an option to unlock a weapon)

if you hit Lance corporal ingame, you may need to log out of your account and then relog back in in order to actually recieve the rank and the unlock (I had to anyway)

actually i haven't played too much Q, i just got PRiv. 1st Class now, i dont think it's all how much you play, ur skill level and stuff too.

yeah, I play a lot don't get me wrong, but only 4 hours so far on ranked servers... and Im lance corporal.

Lance Corporal. I have basic engineer and infantry officer ribbon too but haven't taken a screenshot.

It doesn't really matter how much you play, just focus on getting combat points and teamwork points, since they are highest in priority. You can have 0 kills and 20 deaths, but have the highest combat points in the server and you'd still get the gold star.

I haven't played on a Rank server yet :D. I just played for 20 minutes on an unranked yesterday. Just got it.

Oh, and 12 inches.
 
After a 15 minute wait to get on of the european ranked servers, I played for about an hour and got some awards. Nothing special though :p So far, Gold, Silver and Bronze star, and Basic Medic Combat award. I'm about 2/3 of the way to PFC lol :)
 
This really cooks my chicken...I was playing a game earlier and got another silver star. Normally this would be a good thing, unfortunately, it wasn't on a ranked server. That's twice now that I've been screwed out of an award... :(

most of my gametime is spent on unranked, awards are nice, but it's the gameplay that counts... don't worry about how well you are doing in the grand scheme of things :)
 
The bar to Lance corporal is going up EVER so slowly (im doing ok too). I WANT MY UNLOCK!!!

yeah, I kept telling you we weren't playing seriously... I was half asleep so we decided to mess around.. we were having fun in the chopper until you showed up and decided to keep blowing us out the air... EVEN WHEN I SAID STOP!!!... omfg nub.:sniper: :sniper: :sniper: :afro:

I could fly circles around your grandma in my sleep even on my worst days though.

Im a chopper pilot through and through... the only times I mess up are when A: Im sleeping and flying at the same time(like this morning) B: Im not used to hitboxed rotors on the helos (yeah they actually have half colisions on, the tips can go through but the half center actually does hit things)

I just don't get in choppers anymore in BF2 because I love the infantry combat (big deal for the BF franchise) plus as a squad leader my usual vehicle of choice is an APC.


DON'T MAKE ME KNIFE DIVE YOU AGAIN SON! (knife dives are copyrighted to me, as I created and patented them... now I need to create some SPECIALIST Machinima of me knife diving someone) (I do actually do it, I have a lot of knife dive kills to my name, more than you would think)
 
I don't quite understand how you acquire the Purple Heart from that description. Can someone explain to me how you get this?
