Wow, this forum has really diverse music tastes, the most compatibility I've had with anyone so far is Stigmata, and that was only Medium.
 
Huh, turns out Stig was on my waiting list to be accepted as a friend. Added now, as well as the rest of you guys. I'm only Very High with Stig though.

You all seem to have very high compatibility with eachother, yet I have low with everyone of you. Is it my lack of interest in techno that settles it?
 
Very high with gemma, and high with Captain_M4D, which is weird, seeing as I only really listen to one of the artists in his top 50 (Belle and Sebastian).
 
I might be wrong, but he could have been poking fun at you calling it "techno" instead of "electronica".
 
It's always been hip, but never if you listen to electronica other than techno, because that's when you realise techno is a subgenre of electronica :p

It checks iTunes and includes your played songs there. When I joined I already had 14000 songs played that were instantly scobbled.
 
Ohhhhh.

I did not know this. Cool. I don't think it ever loaded my iTunes but then I've either not had a Mac/iTunes for long, or I've had my Last.fm predating the Mac purchase. I don't know.

Just found out I had a profile registered even though I don't even remember ever signing up :p. But I just now set it up to track what I listen to. I'm expecting very low compatibility with everyone!

I imported from itunes which is somewhat inaccurate, since I use it to make mix cds and end up listening through the playlist a lot so I can change it/move stuff around, so whatever I have in that playlist ends up getting a higher play count than it normally would. I had to get a new hard drive last winter so it would probably look a lot different if I hadn't switched.

Also, I use both itunes and winamp and couldn't figure out how to import from both. (I use winamp mostly when I'm listening to new stuff that I haven't yet sorted away in the proper folders yet. It's more difficult to find it in itunes and delete and re-add things after I've moved the files around, than to just toss them in a separate program and add to itunes after I've organized my files. I realize this is weird and inefficient, but it makes sense to me.)

I got Very High with The Monkey!

My only oddity with last.fm is that I got into a bad habit a few years ago of playing ambient stuff to get me to drift off at night, but then leaving it looping the whole time I was asleep, meaning that I scrobbled lots of plays that I hadn't actually heard, so Michael Andrews, Brian Eno and Boards of Canada were much higher in my charts than they should have been... so I bit the bullet and deleted them completely...

God my overall profile is shamefully indie.. I do listen to new stuff but my default position is to listen to the same old faves... my 3 month chart looks a lot trendier hahaha
 
Looks like I have High for Qonfused and Very High for staticprimer. Cool.

I used to do that sometimes. Then I realized I was actually listening, which made it harder to fall asleep.
