Apparently Running with Scissors is using the Source engine to power Postal III, sequel to one of the best games I've ever played in my life: (big surprise) Postal 2.

This might be old news (did a search, nothing came up) but I'm surprised they used source and I didn't hear about it since I usually cruise through these forums every once in awhile.

My apologies if this is old...

A strange choice considering how horrible the Source engine is to work with.

a strange thing to say considering you appear to have no proof backing up such a claim.

but whatever i guess, im too hungry to care past the end of this sentence

/goes and makes sandwich

sooo umm where did you get this info in the first place?

the source engine is one of the easiest engines to work with and it is one of the best.

i still havent beat postal 2. man that game is great.

Not many people can say that without walking away scared.

Postal 2 was good for the shock value. When I saw that you could pee on people, pour gasoline and light it on fire, smoke weed, put a cat on the end of your rifle, etc...I thought it was awesome. That I realized it's a shitty game.

Man, can't wait for this game. I loved the second one a shit ton, and will probably love the third more. Game is great for a lot of laughs.

Um, do you have any previous Source development experience or are you just making things up? Same goes for you bodhi.

Yeah, very old news, but cool news nonetheless. The Postal series has been near and dear to me ever since the isometric first outing. Loads of mindless violence. To an extent, this is what gaming is about to me--escape from the bounds of normal society and existence. Can't wait for 3!!!
