If anyone's still interested in this series. I personally had a lot of mindless fun with the first two :)

Locations look great. Might pick it up if it turns out any good.

Man, that looks ****IN awesome. Love the old beater car. So tired of seeing perfectly rendered brand new cars that are so shiney that they don't even look real.

Sorry, plot doesn't even coincide with my opinion of Postal :)
At this point I just want what it had and surprises ('surprise sex!'), graphics look awesome.
I really do want this game :D

Wiki and others say It's for both PC and 360, my thread title is misleading I apologize, I meant the media is exclusively 360 captures.

Actually, the game has been on Source for well over a year, but it's nice to finally see some screens, my fav mission in Postal 2 was getting a signed autograph from Gary Coleman, then pissing in his face and running like hell.:>

The Postal series has always been close to my heart. The first one provided me with endless hours of virtual mayhem then the second one somehow added even more of teh funny to the already incendiary mix. Awesome times and the Source engine should go a long way toward making this one a stellar piece of entertainment. And yes, we have known it was using Source for quite some time now.

Oh, and the thread title sucks with its horrendous use of commas--it changes the whole meaning of the sentence!! Blasted grammar n00bs...:flame:

Since when did people like Postal 2? Christ

I loved it personally, so I'm glad to see so many fans :D

I mean, who doesn't think having a cat as a silencer is awesome...seriously...

IIRC this game was originally planned as an UE3 title, I remember that with the original P3 announcement, I think it's pretty interesting that they switched to the Source engine.:)
Perhaps this will mean the game will be steamified on release?:D

That one was awesome, but I liked the one where you had to get the autographs more. "Sign the damn petition, I got shit to do."
"No way man"
*shovel to head*

haha sorry, it is a godawful thread title :(, but I can't change it now!

Hahaha! At least you admit it. :E

Still, hopefully it will bring more interest into what is sure to be another kick-ass and completely UN-politically correct jaunt!!

maybe they did that so that they will see the movie, realize it was worthless, then they play the game, and in comparison, ITS THE BEST THING EVER!!!1111!24.

It's perfect.

haha now that's some wild gorilla marketing.. they need to make more movie failures to promote video games

so far we have Chronicles of Riddick, stupid movie.. kickass game

and now hopefully Postal III.. I wonder what else. That's quite a lot of money to spend just to make the game look good in comparison :p, would be funny if that was the actual intention.

What person would PURPOSELY put Uwe in the lead of any movie these days? Everybody knows he's a failure.

As long as I can kick someone in the face, chop off their head with a spade and piss down their neck while onlookers vomit and scream in terror, I'll be happy.

Oh and they'll need to release a PC version thanks.

Worst. Series. Ever.

It's pure trash, marketed towards white trash. It's just shit. When the media talks about how games are nothing more than childish, immature, unintelligent drivel designed for teenagers - Postal makes them right. It's shit on a technical level, it's shit on a gameplay level, it's definitely shit on an artistic level. Pure shit. The only factor in the game that's even remotely notable is the extremely pedantic adolescent "humor" and attempted shock value. It's shit.

Yikes! Looks like someone never played the first game way back in the day? It was like Falling Down but in 3/4 perspective--ultra-bad-ass!!! Who hasn't wanted to (virtually) firebomb a marching band???

Well, so since it's targeted towards white trash, that makes me white trash? **** you, you judgmental prick.

While your post holds some truths, it's awfully exaggerated, the movie and TV industries are far more guilty as far as "trashy" content. Also keep in mind the games are designed to get a reaction from people like you, by trashing it like you just did you are just putting smiles on the developers (and fans) faces. It supposed to offend, and apparently they got the job done. If you don't like shock value violence and sex references then don't buy the game, it's as easy as that. Otherwise you are just feeding the fire.

Also saying it's for white trash made by white trash is a horrible generalization, and discredited your post almost entirely.

"Looks" good but im not interested really. Never played the other two Postal games and it sounds like a real stupid idea/game.

Haha, don't get so touchy. The game is targeted at white trash, doesn't mean that everyone that plays it is white trash. I've played it, and I've had friends that played it. But you have to admit that "white trash" is clearly their target audience. The kind of people that would buy a game because they get to shoot Osama Bin Laden and other turban wielding follk in the name of Umehrica!

Kinda missed the point. My point was that I wasn't shocked at all by anything they do. I've played a bit of it and I've seen a friend play through a huge amount of it, and I was not shocked once. I may have let out a "whoa" and a slight chuckle when I saw the cat get used as a silencer, but that was by far the funniest/most shocking thing in the whole game ... and it wasn't even as funny as the average radio commercial in GTA. The game is made by people completely devoid of a real sense of humor. When I saw the pathetic attempts at satire littered around the game, I honestly felt pity. I was more inclined to laugh at the developers for being so goddamn useless than at their oh so insightful and hilarious commentary. And it wasn't just the pure shit comedy/shock value/artistic merit. The gameplay sucked. It sucked on a technical level, with ugly, sparse levels that took way too long to load. It just isn't good ... it's low quality trash.

And you're 100% right about other forms of media. Postal is only a few steps below reality shows and PG-13 horror movies on the shit-scale. But I don't like those either, so I don't see how that is a counter point.

Actually I'd say more towards people who just have to let a little of their serial killer out harmlessly. I actually got the game only to see what the hype was about.

lol, I agree it depends on your perspective, I would never do anything that the game portrays in real life it's just wrong, and I'm sure that goes for pretty much everyone.

It's just a good laugh, the games violence and doings have always been jokingly portrayed. You can draw parrallels between white trash and those kindof real life actions, but it's just a game and an hilarious one at that.

Anyone who takes this game series seriously needs to be cock-slapped.

Seconded.

Seconded.

Thats what they all say ...but just wait till you're running after a piss drenched civilian with your flies open, petrol can in-hand, kicking decapitated heads around like footballs - you'll be cackling like a witch!

....

That is totally the best way to describe this game.

I f*cking loved Postal 1 and 2 for its mindless action and gore. Looks like this will be even better.

Do you have a nintendo wii? You sure seem to be more sophisticated, and simply on a higher level than other gamers.

No ... and if that was sarcasm it was very clever :p .

I might get one when some games that I want for it come out though. I also never owned a Gamecube and would like to check out all I missed.
