power up in HL1

O.K this isn't a HL2 thing but I've been playing through 1 and ran into a (for me) new problem. In power up, once I get the main generator back on and go back to the track control area the gate to the power room isn't open (where you fry the beast). I must have played through this game 10 times and have never had that before. Did I have a major brain freeze and forget to do something or is some kind of a glitch? And yes the generator is back on for sure (smashed the boxes and flicked the switch). I just noclipped to get hrough it but I found it odd.

That's very strange, if you did turn the generator on that fence/gate whatever should've been open. I don't know probably an error...
