The class-based mulitplayer game Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is coming to Steam this month. Taking place in the year 2065, the game lets you play as the GDF or Strogg in one of five unique character classes, either online or offline with computer controlled AI teammates and opponents. Employing an arsenal of weapons, vehicles and deployable armaments, engage in an action-packed test of skill and coordinated teamwork through a series of combat objectives. Persistent character growth and achievements reward players for teamwork, while clearly defined mission and class objectives guide new players to meaningful contributions on the battlefield.[br]

Wow, for once we get the jump on the Yanks for a new release! I'm gonna wait to see a few profiles of the other maps before I consider buying this, but if they're good I will strongly consider it.

[Edit] Apparently the esteemed Jim Rossignol says the beta map wasn't necessarily the best showcase for the game, and he will be going into more detail on RockPaperShotgun once he gets his hands on it.

Ermm... I don't think so... the game is already available here in austria ( have it since yesterday ( Oct 2nd )
or am i mistaken something?

It's been available since Oct 1st in Game(British retailer), both collector's and ordinary edition.
