Yeah it's a 50 buck game but worth it, I'm also throwing in a extra 5 bucks for more sets. I also have to buy a damn microphone but still its worth it. Man it's tottaly worth it. But really the gameplay is freaking awsome, you make movies and put them online and see what people think. If you win you get more sets...
Mmmmmm I smell HL2 vrs Jet-Li...

You make it sound so simple, it ain't.
It's still gonna be fun tho, I've spoken with a few guys on the team on IRC.
Not to mention anyone who's waiting for it should d/l StarMaker and make their own stars.:p

Just how muh creative control do you have when making a movie?

Do you right the dialogue, control the actor(s), etc?

err chu your intterupting my meal, yeah you can put in your voice or speechbubbles I think, you can also make them do... well about anything you want!

mmm chewy fried wiener.

Will we be able to import our own character models or heavily modify ones in game? Same question for textures, enviornments, etc?

I need to steal from the rich and give to myself before i can get it :(

I have made so implausibly sexual characters on the Star Maker. :D Who cares if they have such "hilarious" names as Randy McSwallow and Tasty Bigcock.

Out of curiosity I decided to find out about this Star Maker thing. Turns out that they're actually selling it (or giving it away with preorders of the movies).

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this just like the Sim maker that was released prior to Sims 2 being launched? And yet Lionhead think they can make money off it (or atleast secure early sales).

What's next, selling demos?

I was shocked at the similarity to the Sim-maker. Although this is far more realistic. And there isn't as much clipping. And it goes hand-in-hand with a better game.

can you post a screen of the Starmaker?

I remember this game was interesting me maybe a year or two ago.

Yeah, that's the future.

Next is selling games in bits.

20 bucks and we'll give you the first half of the engine's source code.

20 dollars more will give you the other half of the engine.

Don't have a compiler? We'll precompile it for 30 dollars.

Then 20 dollars buys you 4 campaigns. There are 24 in all.

:o

The game sounds like it'd be a chore to play.
