Hey, I am interested in buying WoW. I read the FAQ on multiple payment methods and it says I can use pre-paid game cards for WoW.

Obviously, this will be similar to a pre-paid mobile phone. I have one question about these cards... Actually 2 questions.

Do Pre-paid game cards cost more than using a subscription on a credit card?

and

Is there a chance to buy a game card that lasts for more than one month?

All answers will be greatly apprciated...

Thanks,
Danimal

I looked around several sites for personal conformation, but I can't seem to find the WoW time card anywhere. However I'll apply my previous experience with time cards here.

1) Time cards cost the same as using a credit card. The only difference is that you have to pay tax since you buy the card in a store.

2) Time cards generally give you at least 2 months of game time.

No, the same price. It cost 15 dollars a month to subscribe to WoW. The Pre-paid cards are 30 dollars for 2 months. Same price same amount of time.

The Pre-paid gamecards work for 2 months at a time. Dont worry if your time runs out your character's stats are saved on the server and your computer so when you buy a new game-card you just enter the new game-cards key and continue playing.

Well, the thing is, if you go by monthly subscription, it's the same (aside from tax, as someone said), but if you pay quarterly or bi-annualy with your credit card, the credit card route is cheapest I believe.

I found a place (canadian retailer) that has the game cards cheaper than the monthly subscription, but that's just a sale price

$29.99, I just paid $37.99 last week at ebgames ...doh

all the ebgames and gamestops around me have the pre-paid cards at 29.95 or something like that.

yes but you're in the US ..it's $29.99 Canadian or $24.48 american with exchange

do guys think my Grandma could buy some of those cards and send them to Germany? could I use thse cards with euro Version WoW?
how much would a carad cost with a 2 moth play time?

Probably so Lemonking. I mean, I think it all goes to the same place.

I knew that, I know mostly how they worked, I just wanted to know the 2 answers before I get WoW... It would be stupid if they deleted your character for such a reason anyway :rolling:
