well acually we have yet to see optimizations in the new ATI drivers (the 3.8s coming out wiht HL2) so we could be getting a lot more.

im building another rig now which will be a very nicely modded acrylic case, with a A64fx and a pciexpress videocard, wont be dont till q1 2004 but that should dominate HL2 with full everything, and full aa/af

No the Cat 3.8 are coming out when thier finished. Their main feature will be all the other features. They said that the big improvment in the 3.8cats will be all the new features and apps they will have.
