I wasn't aware they had released the Recommended Specs yet. Maybe you were looking at the Minimum Specs. We can't really tell unless you post what your specs are.

What can you get with Far Cry? I figure HL2 will be slightly less intensive than Far Cry should your video card should run HL2 faster than Far Cry.

Second note, don't compare FarCry to HL2, that code is rather shitteh to say the least, meh VALVe is much cleaner and it should run lots faster.
