Preload too fast

My preloading of Portal and Episode 2 started at 60% and 40% respectively. After a brief download Steam says it's all done and ready.
Umh, is there something wrong with this or am I complaining about too much efficiency?

the percentage is never accurate just to tell you that. i think it counts the source files that you already have on your pc. sometimes when i download a game its start at like 75%.

If you have TF2 installed, you already have the engine files, which are something like half of the Episode Two download and more-than-half of Portal.

That exactly is the case.

then do the games work? if you check and they do , then theres no prob. if they dont work, leave your comp on overnnight, thats enough time to ensure that they are fully installed whether the percent is done or not.

yup there will be anothor update on the 10th which will unlock the games.
