Well, I finally got Steam + Cache files and then I got this message. So being the patient person I am, I just let it sit there, then suddenly my resolution changes and CS 1.6 launches!! It took about 5 mintues or something. But if you get this message, just leave it be!!!

I'm glad you're up and running. Yeah it just needs some time to convert the cache files into the proper game directory trees so the first time you start any game (even if you have all the cache predownloaded) it's going to take a while.
