So i go to "Play now" and wait patiently as the server assigns me a server to join up, so i get in one and it has six people, yea 6 counting myself. So i take this as a perfect opportunity. I try to coax the others into just driving in circles capping flags because then we can up our scores amazingly. 4 points every 30sec (it was that tiny city map), for however long we choose to do it, we could have all leveled, it would have rocked our points, and of course nobody even tried it. They all just sat there killing the opposing 3 people nearly 33 times each round. 4 people didn't even have an opinion about it, they just sat and didn’t say anything, 2 people said they wanted to, but never actually did it. Why can't people stop and think about a situation for more than 3 seconds. That’ll probably never happen again.

also, why don't they have a server selection scrolling menu for the ranked servers like they do with the unranked servers, i don't want to play on servers with 64 people, thats far too many people. So why can't i choose?!

1: People suck. That's just the way it is with online games.

2: The server menu sucks. That's just the way it is with EA games.

It probally wasn't ranked if there were that few in it. Most ranked servers are pretty much always full, even in the mornings and at night.

No, it was definitly a ranked server, that's what got me! Why didn't the others want to do it, it didnt make sense, they were obviously playing to up their scores, and there was a much easier/faster way to do it and they didnt take it!! gah! i hate 7th graders.

I'm glad they didn't, because doing something like that is plain unfair on those who are levelling properly. Besides, if it was 6 people the scores probably weren't being logged because you need a minimum number for it to start, so you can't just go around with a few buddies pulling lame crap like that.

I wouldn't have done it, but that's just because of my code of honor... that and the fact I want to earn my medals.
it might just be a game, but it's the principal to me.
same reason why I didn't/don't play with weapons that I haven't unlocked.

besides chances are that an admin was watching and ya coulda had your account nabbed. (they said ranked servers are going to be heavily administered)

I would take 7th graders over people who pull that crap any day. Its pathetic. I would have gone solely after you if I were in that server. Thats the same as cheating, and the im glad that nobody wanted to do it, because it shows that they are better than that. Or that they just wanted to play, which is just as good.

I would have done it. If my points > Foxtrot's, that's all that matters.

My God, I'm in an empty ranked server RIGHT NOW waiting for more people to join. Opportunity not being seized here!

Well, I just got back from that server, because I got locked up somehow. Keyboard and mouse were responding, I just couldn't move. Anyway...

Strike at Karkand. Eight players. And we mobbed. Drove around the map capping; only two guys were killing. Didn't get that much points off of it as one would think, but we managed to get in the thirties and forties. Not nearly as much as the average game normally gives but...eh.

We did that until a bunch of guys came in talking about "earning points through skill," "honor," and "morals." The same things I'm reading here, which is why I'm posting again in this thread. As I was telling those noble internet warriors, it's a game. As someone else in the server said, "since when are gamers so moral?"

You might think it's cheating to get points in this way. Someone said they were taking pictures to prove how we were "exploiting" the situation. I don't see it as an exploit at all. I see it as working with the enemy army in order to reap mutual rewards. What is wrong with a little peace on the battlefield? I ask you, what greater endeavor exists than that of collaboration?

I earned my ranks thus far through skill. I was a sliver away from LC (which I made during that game), purely on skill alone. And yet I am no fool. There was an opportunity there, an opportunity to reap points like kings! Kings I tell you! So those of us who were smart banded together and reaped the benefits of unification.
After those other people came in, it was quite funny. I assume that they thought since we were driving around being temporary pacifists that we were unskilled at actually playing the game. They were summarily ground into dust as we laughed at their pitiful ineptitude. Their so-called "skills."

Think of it what you will, whether exploitative or cheap, but it was fun. We had buggy races and played some "obstacle course" games, while rushing around capping flags. Two opposing armies, having a good old time without any bloodshed. We collaborated. And we reaped.
