I recently played a game on the gamecube called Spartan Total Warrior and I enjoyed it a lot. The gameplay is pretty much hack 'n' slash with large scale battles which were really awesome but the voice acting/music and escort missions were awful. Though it didn't have any puzzles which were plus because I find puzzles a bit boring and I'm really naff at them so I was wondering if these Prince of Persia games are the sort of thing I am looking for? which one out of the three (SoT, WW,TTT) Do you recommend the most

I would recommend playing The Sands of Time. I bought it when it just came out and it is one of my favourite gamecube games. It is probably includes the most platforming and least combat compared to the other games but I like that style of gameplay. Plus it is the first game and I always like playing games in order.

However the best part of it was the storyline and the princes relationship with Farah.

You can probably find the game cheap so or at least rent it.

No, the PoP games are absolutely nothing for you, they are filled with puzzles, pretty much all the variouse enviorments are one big puzzle, that rquire a lot of thinking to get trough.

I like the most recent PoP game (The two thrones or whatever, already forgot the name) but out of all the PoP games, that had to be my favorite, the little jump off the wall uber combos you could do were ****ing amazing

I don't like these new PoP games, first Prince of Persia is best!

I've never played the first PoP, the second was utter trash, but the third was pretty good.

first PoP the combat got so FRICKING REPETITIVE. Jump, slash, dive, slash, repeat

The second was alot more about hack n slashing than the others, so it's probably more like what you're after, but there were still some pretty tough puzzles even earlier on. But PoP is all about puzzles, so if that aint your thing then you should probably look elsewhere.

Well the second one improved the combat system a hell of a lot, but the third one is the one which had the least amount of puzzles and the most amount of fighting. I have all three, and thats one of the things that dissapointed me the most about teh third part, only near the end do you have some nice puzzles.
