Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Demo

It's been posted numerous times. And I'm a big Prince of Persia fan and I haven't posted any repeat threads...
 
plus its the worst demo ever released... i bet you think im kidding :/
 
I'm starting to think that too. Is anyone getting poor framerates?
I did download the demo with a download manager, I'll see if I can reinstall the game.
 
I can't get past that boat area, because the tutorial seems to be screwed.

Too tired to play more today though, gotta sleep. :P
 
LOKE... according to your unofficial HL2 coundown, HL2 will be released in 22 hours :o

and will people stop posting threads about the POP demo? CANT YOU PEOPLE READ? you only need to skim the general gaming forum to see that theres allready a 2 page thread about it!

you never know.. it might be. VALVE may release the gaem early and suprise us. SUDDENLY it might appear on all the shelves of all the stores... and all the g33ks will be teh uber stunnz0red!!one!!one!!elleven!!1
 
If that would happen, I wouldn’t hesitate to worship Gabe everyday. ;)
 
I think the game belongs on a console I can't stand playing it on the computer. I can't beat the big guy lol.
 
Guys, if you can't pass the first level, you have to follow the moves the tutorial tells you. Then you may progress. And to beat the big Brute at the end, attack his heel until he falls down, then go behind his foot that sticks out and then press foward+jump.
 
I know but he keeps grabbing me and throwing me. If I had a controller I could move better but I don't like using the keys on the keyboard that's why it's so hard for me.
 
A good way to avoid his grabs are to take 3-4 hits on his neck and then wait for him to signal a grab, then move to the opposite side.
 
The menu song is awesome, so much better than the original POP menu song (and I liked that one): GodSmack - Streight out of Line.
 
I dunno know why people say the game runs bad. I have it on all high setting and it runs smooth. I tried that 3-4 hits thing and when he went to grab I dodged then he went after me again right after! I was like AH as he grabbed me by the head and flung me across the room. I think it's a good game, too bad I'm not as smooth as the Prince in those videos between the areas where you play :P.

God, I can't wait to buy this + Gamepad.

Oh, and is the graphical quality similar to the original? I really liked the use of light bloom etc. Could someone please post screenies?
 
Wow, that's an amazing demo, so many kick-ass moves! Jumping off people and slicing 3 guys' heads off, w00t!

Runs flawlessly on 0xAA/8xAF on my 9800 Pro.

The graphics are awesome too!

What do you mean? You just keep hitting Space and the direction you need to jump. If you die, just rewind :P

There are multiple moves you can do that involves a wall.
1. If you are in combat mode and are facing an enemy, press the key and backpedal towards the wall and press either right click to run up a wall, mouse to rebound and stab the enemy, or E to rebound and spin towards the enemy. Or press jump.
 
im refering to the section in the demo you need to climb up by jumping against 2 walls... -_-
 
Just press jump alot, but only press it when you're about .5 feet away from the wall.
 
Well that was very....meh.

I dont really see any differences between this game and the last. The fighting system's good, but i guess Ninja Gaiden has spoiled me.

is there anything past this guy?
 
I was experiencing low fps 2. although AA was all the way up an
so was AF.
i hope HL2 isnt like that
 
this was cool, i haven't played the previous prince o fpersia game, so this was new to me..
will this be for the pc?
 
Of course it'll be for the PC, silly, why else would they release a demo on the PC?

No, you just get gameplay movies, which are some pretty good ones. Yea, I found out you need to destroy the sword holder thing too. At first I couldn't beat the guy but now I can do it without him even hitting me lol. I thought the demo was alright, dunno why everyone says it blows. Guess they're just extremely hard to please.

I just realized that I can summarize the main points of all the whinners at the official Prince of Persia forum!
-All they bitch about is the music and yet, they do nothing to turn the music off in the main menu, I'm starting to think they want to listen to the music so they have something to bitch about and make a useless thread at the forums and feel important.
-It doesn't feel 'Persian' anymore.
How can the game not feel Persian? You're on a ship and also fighting in some sort of underground catacomb, what does that tell you? How can you say that the entire game is not Persian?
Nothing at all:O.
 
I love the music. I think it fits the game really well. I notice some of the complainers are the people with crappy PCs.
 
Good observation.
And I also think the music is fine. So asshole came up to me in the forum and said that the solution is not 'no music at all'. He's wrong because you only have two options, music or no music. He also said my sarcasm isn't funny and that I was trite. Not my job to make people laugh. If you see an idiot named nahodka84 on some place on an internet forum, tell him he's stupid and should go to hell for being an idiot and putting up a stupid arguement with me.
Actually, I'll go tell him myself.
