Prisoners of Youtube

its the only publicity these people will ever get, I bet they like it.

Honestly, I wouldn't be so angry, but when it affects their job and their lives, then it's overboard. If it gave me attention, and TV time, hell, then I'd be stoked.

I never found humiliating videos funny.

The only exceptions are the "they got what they deserved" type of videos.
Like those videos of rich girls throwing tantrums after getting a car.

This is great stuff. I skimmed through it until I realized how awesome it was, and I'm gonna leave it for tonight/tomorrow at work. Gotta catch my bus!

Eh, I won't lie, I would really hate to be in their shoes... Great article, by the way.

Star Wars kid was around and widely known way before Youtube. Why is that on there?

I don't think it's specific to youtube...just movie watching on the internets in general. Which youtube dominates 60-70 percent of.

I thought this was about those people that follow internet fads regiliously or something lie that

It's not the videos that mess these people up, most of them found them funny (eg. the ninja/stunt guy) it's that people take them seriously and then abuse them in the street. The stunt guy said that because of that video people refused to hire him, everyone makes mistakes. Some idiots take these things to far.

LMAO at the Star Wars kid.

Haha, this one's good:

I don't believe in rigid moral standards, but don't ANY of you have a conscience? By viewing these vids you are encouraging more people to put stuff like this on YouTube.
It's a disgusting violation of people's right to privacy. :frown:
