Prize Photograph

I don't know if I'd call them my prized photographs, but they're pretty awesome. I took them on my trip to longbeach with my digital camera, in california. Funny thing too, I was about to make a thread just to post these, and then I saw this. Fate, I tell you.

Please tell me what you think.

That's a huge splash! Nice picture.

And that's so awesome, Raziaar :O I want to be there with those big waves :(

These were taken while I was skiing in Ehrwald, Austria:

Two pics of the view from my hotel room:

Here is a pic I took of Boston. The clouds looked really cool, especially off the buildings.

And here are a few I took when I was up at New Hampshire.

And finally, a picture of my old cat. I was taking the sheets off and she decided to jump down into the space between my bed and the wall. It was funny because she couldnt really move, and she seemed to be pretty comfy in there.

That is a very cute picture, that last one. :)

OMFG at the cat. We have a winner, tied with Raziaar's pics

Pic of my little bro being the super cool dude that he is.

i need to find a new focus...or at least new friends...jeez.

Those car pictures are really cool... the colors are amazingly vivid :O

Also, Krynn... those New Hampshire pics, where are they exactly? They look like a place I know very well, called Squam Lake. That or Winnipisauke (right nearby).

A pic of me and my friends on vacation 1 year ago in Pattaya, Thailand...good memories (I was the photographer)

Yeah JNightshade, they were taken on Winnipisauke. We had a cottage there that we used to go to every summer. Unfortunately grandfather who owned the place passed away, and now we are selling it. I hope to someday get a place there myself. I loved it up there.

What are those hooligans fingering on mate?

Xcellerate, what kind of camera are you using?

I can't see the model numbers, but i'm assuming the bottom one is digital.

If so, then how do you get the slow shutter effects?

Here are a few I took on my way down to Florida.

xcellerate I can tell you are really into photography :) Most amateurs don't but $2000+ (whatever) digital cameras. What lenses do you use with that camera?

I've been saving to buy a Nikon D70 (a poor man's DSLR)... I think those are around $700 now.

sinkoman, just use a slow shutter speed.

I know, but how would that work with a Digital?

What with there being no film to slowly expose...

doesn't your digital camera allow you to change the shutter speed and aperture? Try the manual settings

My digital camera is a Fuji Finepix S 5000

Haha. I use an FM2.

You're gonna have to explain to me how digital SLR's replicate the slow exposure effect.
