Problem adding custom avatar

I get this when trying to upload a custom avatar:

Warning: copy(./customavatars/avatar16429_7.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/hl2net/public_html/forums/includes/functions_upload.php on line 318

Ive tried to upload to photobucket, then direct the link. But this time it says it cant find the link?

Error - cannot find an image at the specified URL. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL.

The link is fine, Ive checked it 3 times and copy/paste it.

Post the link here, I'll see if I can add it through the Mod control panel. I know we were having problems earlier.

For some reason the site isn't allowing uploads of any kind. I know that we have a lot of room taken up in our database by avatars and attachments. As far as I can remember we once had a problem where we had too many - just thinking that might be the reason again.

I'll get StarMonkey to look into it properly as it's some sort of PHP upload problem.

Try now, it should be working

The 'missing' avatars are probably where people changed their avatar during a 10 minute window yesterday at about 11am when I accidently killed the site.
