problem with comp

ok so i have like intel 2.6ghz H/T and a 6800gt, 1gb of ram. And I lag like really badly in outdoor scenes in cs_office, whats this a result of?

You're processor. Hl2 is very processor dependent.

thought so i just wanted to double check, i plan to upgrade to intel p4 3.2e ghz

I didn't think you would lag. Your processor is OK. You still shouldn't lag when your processor has a GFX card like that to fall back on. Even though the other guy said "HL2 is very processor dependant" which it is, I still don't think you should lag at all.


SO yeah it's gotta be your processor.

I think it was just the server, I turned all settings up full and it worked fine..guess it was just ping or internet at the time.
