problem with flatout 2

I bought this game, installed it, and it said, "security feature could not be enabled" so I made sure that nothing else was running except for windows and flatout 2 and still the same thing. Of course, I can't take it back because I opened it, but I'd still like to play this game on my PC. what am I not doing here?
