I went to the store a purchased a hard copy of hl2 tuesday and went to install it. everything installed fine and other than steam taking about an hour to unlock my files there were no problems. i started up the game and the valve prodution symbol played with pristine sound, but after the menu loaded all the sounds in the game woulds echo and be VERY scratchy. ive tryed uninstalling the game and it didnt fix anything. i have the lastest drivers for my hardware and cant seem to find anyone with the same problem. the game is unplayable as it is right now so any and all help would be most appritiated.
