Oh feck. Bloody stupid problem.

Righty. I try and acess any other website than this and I get:

"
You have been connected to this page due to one of the reasons listed below. You must now shut down your browser and Internet applications before attempting to reconnect.
You are testing your local connection to BT using 'bt_test_user@startup_domain'
You are testing your connection to your Service Provider using 'bt_test_user@domain' where domain is your Service Provider domain name.
Your Service Provider RADIUS server is currently out of service and you have been temporarily connected to this page - please contact your Service Provider for information or wait until service is resumed.
Your Service has been barred by your Service Provider - please contact your Service Provider for information.
You have attempted to access an invalid Service Provider domain.
The access circuit to your Service Provider is currently down. Your Service should be resumed soon.
This window will close automatically in two minutes time."

None of these things are true, it's a proper BT page, I'll get a screeny soon :)

Well.. its BT so yeah :)

no but sounds like something might be broke their end

Yeah but the thing is, I can acess other pages on the computer downstairs.

I'm paying for my service, so if this doesn't improve, then I'm going to go psycho down the phone :)

hehe good luck, past experience has shown me that gets nothing done, they just make it worse cause they can :(

Yeah, it's pissing me off, since this is the only website I can view.

Wow, wierd. I have a simmilarly wierd problem... My uppload is capped @ 30 kb/s, when i shoul be able to uppload at 50.

Which is very odd, they may run my telephone exchange, but my service is plus.net ;(

Broadband=owned. My 56k never gets problems like this, therefore u lose, whilst i can go on as many sites as i like ;)

Ben, shut up or I'll virii your new computer I'm making :E

Um, well, I think I know what the problem is, it's something todo with my localhost and router.

Nope, still stumped. Really quite annoying really. I removed ALL my XP hotfixes etc, no difference, actually it's worse, with a massive delay before aknowledging the internet exists, and then pages won't work anyway.

Gah.

have you tried rebooting? :p

But seriously, have you tried hooking up another computer to the same connection? I had a simmilar problem and it turned out the line simply was blocking a lot of my sites, and Halflife2.net was one of the few i could get to too. I didn't really have to do anything though, the problem sorted itself out after a week, but test it with another computer if you can, then you know it's not a comp issue.

rgr, I'll try that.

Rebooted lots and lots, it's been a few days now. Do you know how to stop the line blocking the sites? Since this is really annoying, and the computer downstairs can acess anything it likes.
