Problem with silent hill 2 directors cut on PC.

Okay my problem is simply, when ever I want to go to the options menu the game crashes, or the movies menu. Pretty much everything exept playing and saving crashes the game. Now has anyone had any experience with this before. I saw that there are two patches for Silent hill on the PC, but they are for the US version, and as far as I know I got the Euro version.

Anyway my specs are
2.4 Ghz(AMD) on a KT400 main board.
512 ram
radeon 9800 pro 128 mb
All the newest drivers and directx

This is a master wierd problem.

I play in a 768x1024 res. But can anyone tell me if the american version had the same problem, cause maybe the euro has it to, and I can use the patch for the US version. Cause with konami you never know, I downloaded a patch for mgs2, that listed that it fixed some minor problems, but for osme reason it foxed totally different problems I was having.

Hmmm...give the patch a try, it can't exactly ruin anything since you can't save your games...

No no I can save my games, I just can't go to the options, and movies menu, play the game and save it are the two thing I can.
