problem with star wars battlefront 2

I had made a personal backup of this game, then my brother decides to run the chair wheels over the DVD and it cracks in half. I think, "no problem, I have the BACKUP! but, alas, it won't run on a backup CD so what gives? any way to still play even though I've bought the rights to play it?

Battlefront 2 is awesome, imo.
Space battles are pretty fun...
I noticed a bit of teamwork in quite a few matches...
