Problem with steam user name

I'm having a little trouble with steam.

I've just formatted and downloaded a few games via steam, but when I go into my steamapps folder, there's no username folder to carry on into my games. Just "common" and "sourcemods"

Where has my name gone? D:

Have you started any of your games? It should appear once you run a game or two.

I haven't actually, I'll give it a go now. I only noticed this when I was pre-pimping my css weapons so I didn't have to look at those ghastly default models.
