Problem with the origanals ;(

When I start up any HL1 game (including the expansions) I get a "Fatal Error" the moment it loads (either new game or training). On OP4 its worse. After about 10 mins of play, it crashes my computer. This also happens on the Improvement pack mod. ( http://www.hl-improvement.com/index.php)

Finally, I had the CD versions installed, then installed the anthology on Steam. I don't know if the fact there's, uh...two kinds on my computer, but anyway, can anyone help me?

I've deleted my non-steam HL things, which didn't do anything..;(

try verifying your game files (right click on the game, properties, verify local game cache or something to that effect). if that doesn't work, delete and reinstall them. to delete, right click and delete local game content.

Awesome thanks. Actaully, verifying was already done, but didn't work, so I'll go with the uninstall. That was my last resort anyways.

EDIT: Rofl, I hope this works, I'v had to unistall the following:
Condition Zero + Deleted Scenes.
Counter Strike
Day of Defeat
Deathmatch Classic
Blue Shift
Op4
Ricochet
TF:classic
Because they all use the same engine as HL.

um make sure you uninstall and then reinstall and RUN HL before you play any of these, i believe it has to have been run and ingame once before naything else will work
