problem

when i start playing in some servers it will load and everything is very "simplistic", there are no shadows and everything is brighter--------i am wondering what causes this, if i can stop it, and if its only because the server wanted it that way

it looks like counter-strike 1.6, if you know what i mean

I have had problems with maps being set to full bright after i have just been using the map editor. Try a couple reboots or verify your CS:S files with steam.
