problems at sandtraps after geting bug bite

I just got the bug bite, but I don't know were to go next, haven't manage to jump over the "trees"(don't know the word for them) that are in the way, get instuctions to squeze the bug bite to controll the antlions. Help anyone!

Didn't the vortiguant open the "wood gate" (if that is what you mean) for you. If not, I think it's a commun bug. You have to load to the previous save you have done. For more information, go there : http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=66108&highlight=vortiguant
