Problems changing launch options

I have found a few commands which greatly improve Cs source and my framerate etc....but when i try and put them all into my "launch options" it doesnt do them all, particularly "cl_smooth 0" which gives the greatest performance boost for me.

Anyone else get this problem and know a fix?

welcome to the forums, congrats on your first thread

I wouldnt be stacking all that into my launch options.

go to "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\**[email protected]**\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg\"

and slap those commands into the config.cfg
(open with notepad)
then right click on the config.cfg, click properties (after making changes and saving) and make it read only (check the read only box)

Pardon my intrusion, but what does cl_smooth actually change? I'm guessing something along the lines of vertical sync? (In terms of keeping frames balanced and not having it bounce up and down in numbers)
