Problems getting achievements

I'm just wondering if someone else have had the same problem. A couple of weeks ago I played trough Death Toll, but didn't get the achievement. I thought it was a bit odd, but guessed it was just some temporary issue with steam.

A few days ago I played with some friends and completed No Mercy on expert. Yeehaw, I thought, finally some achievements! Nope, no achievements for me, even though everyone else I was playing with got them. Wtf? What am I doing wrong here? Do I have to erect a temple to Gabe? Dance and pray?

did you die at all during the campaign?

I think so, but when I played Blood Harvest I died during the finale, but got the achievement anyway.

In order to get the expert achievement you cannot go into the next area/map dead. You have to make it to each saferoom alive. You can die DURING and be respawned however.

There are a couple achievements I've not gotten when I shoulda. Oh well....I'll have to work that damn pistol achievement again.

is this 100% confirmed?

valve should probably clarify what they mean by "survive" in those achievement descriptions.

I thought that in order to get the achievement at the end of each scenario, you had to be alive when you escaped in the finale.

There are a couple achievements I've not gotten when I shoulda. Oh well....I'll have to work that damn pistol achievement again.

Did you use pipe bombs or molotov's? Maybe you can't use those either.

I've heard from people that have used pipe bombs and molotovs and they've gotten it. My problem was I accidently used the minigun without knowing it gets in the way of the achievement

Hmm, it seems we have conundrum.

just dont use a primary weapon... dont pick one up when you start.
minigun is a no-no.
pipes and molo's are fine.

I need that man vs tank achievement

For it to work, everyone else needs to be dead or incapped.

This one time Andrev Griffin threw a molotov at the tank after it fell down between some buildings. One person was dead, one was incapped on the ground, one (me D was hanging off the edge of a building after ****ing up the jump to skip the dumpster scene. The tank died, he got the achievement, even though he did very little.
