Problems on Aztec!

I keep crashing if I go look underneath the water on aztec and piranesi :(

Graphic settings are:

Model detail: High*
Texture: High*
Water: Reflect World*
Shadows: High*
AA: 2x
AF: 4x
Shaders: Enabled*
Vsync: Enabled

Extra config settings:

mat_forcedynamic "0"

mat_specular "0"

ATI 9800 Pro with Catalysts 4.9 (control panel default settings).

And I got another wierd bug in aztec (only on aztec), the sky keeps disappearing and reappearing every time I turn and look elsewhere, here are two pics below:

Yeah, been trying to fix it in the past thirty minutes, and I noticed I made a mistake before:

Shader detail was set high, that caused the water problem. Brought it down to low and now it looks normal and doesn't cause an instant crash.

I'm gonna see if I can fix the other bug too. :)
 
Well after removing these three commands:

mat_forcedynamic "0"
mat_numtextureunits "0"
mat_picmip "-1"

It works! :D
