Hello I just downloaded the ATI catalyst 7.10 drivers, and my card was completely unable to play 3d games anymore. I always got the error that is is unable to creade D3d Device.
Therefore I downgraded the drivers, right now I am at either 7.1 or 6.12 (I tried a lot). And, depending on the device driver, I get two problems.
Video does not work: all videos .avi, .mpeg, .asf, etc.... Have sound but now picture. This is independant of the player I'm using.
Or D3D is DISABLED. I will check dxdiag and the d3d properties of the card are disabled. Note that the only driver in which this is NOT applicable to is the 7.10 driver, where video works but D3D can not create a device and crashes. '
