Two days ago - I posted a problem in the General discussion about a Casino Ad that kept popping up even when I was using Internet explorer. From everyone's suggestions, I have tried:
1. Disabling Microsoft Messenger. (This one is what confuses me because when I use to have this problem, disabling this worked perfectly - but my windows xp is acting like it still running)
2. Downloading Ad Aware, Spybot: Search and Destroy, and several virus checkers.
3. Using Mozilla as my default Browser.
4. Putting all the common sites that pop up on my Resricted List.
5. Uninstalling and Re-installing IE 6.0
6. Opting out of internet lists.
But ... Nothing has worked. Even several poped up as I am writing this. Believe it or not, the adds have increased. Not only that but, when I woke up this morning, I had several IE windows open during the night and they managed to change my Home page and added a huge list of unwanted sites to my favorites list.
I am really getting sick of this. When I play any game, the IE windows shut my game down forcing me to look at some stupid add. Please - I need help. Any comments or suggestions? I don't know what to do next?
