Anyone else have problems with Unreal II?

I have a 9800 pro 256 MB, P4 2.8, Audigy 2 etc

The cutscene plays fine but when the game starts it throws we back into Windows with an error message, this happens every time at almost the exact same point. Funny thing is though I have the demo of this game and this runs perfectly. I don't think there is a european patch release for this game either.

ps I have all the most recent drivers installed for my hardware

Any suggestions?

i've heard unreal II was pretty buggy, but i myself had no problems.

and i have athlon xp 1800+, geforce4 ti4400, 512mb pc2700.

maybe you should look into replacing that cd. something could just be corrupt.

I beleive the most important bug with Unreal II was the sound bug. It simply crashed the game at a certain spot, and you couldnt move on, I had that. See Unreal II forums about it, though I dont know any links to them... Its just a small little patch, it isnt actually the game that needs it, its one of the sound dlls. If it is this that is
