^^ Preview of graphics before you download the video

If you haven't downloaded, the first video, you must get it! Second video is even better!

They also updated the game page, giving more information. Almost sounds like an Enemy Territory style campaign, also with normal deathmatch, team deathmatch etc modes. Which is awesome! :D

The engine was made by one programmer, and he has two artists making the art. Awesome!

Is the first vid the one where he crossbows a guy off the ledge? And is there gameplay in the 2nd one?

I can't download it right now, since my bandwidth's being drained...

It looks like scripted gameplay.

Still totally looking forward to this game.
Isn't Sam McGrath from S2Games head of this project?

Savage Battle for Newerth is a totally awesome and very underrated game,
If Project Offset is going to be anything like it, but with much better visuals...
Then hot damn!

Ummm, yes they scripted you firing a bow.

There's not a whole lot of gameplay in here. Then there's the part with the troll which could just have the camera spinning around making it look cool, but the gameplay actually real.

The technology is just awesome, I'm not sure if it's better than UE3 or not... We'll see :D

xlucidx: Yes, he also created the Silverback engine which powers Savage :) He is quite the man! It is very underrated I believe too... :( I have confidence in these guys, but somebody give them a publisher (Come on Activision... You know you can do it ;) )

I really hope ths game pulls through. I'd love to donate but I've been spending an assload of money lately.

This game is looking so amazing. I would love for more gameplay segments but that's probably not gonna happen. They'll most likely tease us with 5+ second clips for a while.

Pretty cool, I don't really like fantasy themed games very much, but who can resist this after watching the vids?
Graphics look very interesting :)

Getting a bit tired of these teaser videos...

Well considering that this is 3 guys, and that they are still coding the engine, I would say get used to them for probably another year or so. Right now, they are showing these off so they can get a publisher, right now they are doing this out of their own apartment! :P

Need to cut these guys some slack, they don't have the millions of dollars like other game developers have.

And it was only last year December that they announced they had 50% of the rendering code complete. It's amazing watching a project like this transform! :O

They dont have a small office for them all to work in? They all work from home? And im not asking for a HUGE gameplay vid, just maybe a small dungeon room with about 10 cloned NPC's in a little 10 min fight, thats all.

Well two of the 3 guys are brothers, and they probably became really good friends with Sam... I say they probably all live in the same apartment (if not, really close to each other). There is simply no point to them doing that, considering they don't have any income!

I do understand your frusturation. You obviously just want to see how the game plays out and such. Although you are upset short-term because of no long gameplay video, long-term you will not care (nor probably remember).

As a mod maker myself, everyone knows that whenever you release something to the public, no matter how trivial you think it is, people will take notice and obviously make a big deal out of it. If you release some lame fighting video that is 30 minutes long, then people won't care how they once liked you, as you just released some crap that overshadows the rest (gameplay > graphics after-all)

Damn, that's sexy...

... especially the method they use for motion blurring. It really helps add to the cinematic feel because it's implemented very well, not over-the-top just so you notice it more. It makes the movements look smoother and more natural. They obviously have some talented artists that can properly utilize the engine's impressive list of features. I just hope the gameplay can live up to the same standards. Either way, I can't wait for the final product.

thats really great
i like the soft shadows on the chr

that... was pretty empressive. I dont care what some of you are saying, that looks down right amazing. Im realy curious as to what hardware they used to run that. Unreal 3 looked a little choppy in some parts, but this game seemed to run completely smooth, and IMHO it looked even better.

As long as they don't pull a Valve by showing cool videos that aren't accurate representations of the fin*

:: EDIT ::

*ished product.

HAHAHAHA, Oh the irony! I wonder what the hell happened to the rest of the sentence? Perhaps I was hacked and someone stole my post before I could transmit it...

Watching it again, I noticed that the player's view is really close to the ground for how fast he's moving...looks a little off. Also...the animations aren't great. But I'm just a silly perfectionist :p
The graphics engine is still the most advanced I've seen yet for a game. Hope they can get a nice physics system in there too :)

I think you're a dwarf. I remember in the previous video there was a little rendered thing with a dwarf with a crossbow on a rock with a cougar or leopard or something trying to attack him. It was just a still shot though so this is a complete guess.

That's because Dwarves are natural sprinters... very dangerous over short distances.

You know Dwarves are modelled after paleolithic early humans. Short and stout and round about.

:naughty: Saw the thing early in the morning, looks like sexyness!

Are you being serious?

They've shown off so much stuff, they used to have videos of them using the editor and such (they took them down a few months ago though :( ), they posted WIP's of them writing the editor, and it's absolutely real.

I simply can't wait to play it!!
