They wanted to call it FEAR 2 from the get-go but originally they couldn't get access to the rights for the FEAR name, now they've regained the rights and thus call it what they wanted to all along.

It will probably turn out to be worth it. The F.E.A.R. name is pretty hot since it was GOTY a few years ago.

Good good. Should be less confusing for people who don't know the details of the split-up. Although there will probably still be some head-scratching about how the hell the game ties in with the two expansion packs, which, of course, it doesn't.

Strangely enough, Project Origin was the first title I thought of when they wanted a new game. Never thought they'd actually use it though. Still, I wish they got a better name than just "FEAR 2", because I'm rather tired of seeing games, movies and things have a 2 slapped on them rather than an interesting or thoughtful title. I hope that they actually try to add something new to the game, rather than rehash the same crap over and over like the last two expansion-crap.

I just think it looks a bit iffy.

Maybe reverse it... "Project Origin: FEAR 2"
