prop_physics limit?

after i compiled my map some of the phys props dont appear. is there a limit? if so how do you change it, if not, why arent they workin?
 
Maybe you have used static models as prop_physics?
 
Actually, yes, I've seen some situations where a mass of 20+ props with the same model would cause some of them to disappear. Why are you hitting any hypothetical limits in the first place?
 
Check that the phys props fade distance is correct.
I think for start fade distance it is -1 and for end fade is 0 and fade scale is set to 1.
You can change the phys prop properties by double clicking on the object in the 3D veiw.

If you are making a map for CS Source, models from HL2 will not appear.
