Props disappearing

This is really strange. I built a stack of barrels, and some of them disappeared. They are all there in Hammer, but after I compile and run, they're always missing.

What could be causing that?

This appears to be the famous view fade bug striking again. Well at least I think it's a bug.

I'll assume that all these barrels are copy and pasted, hence should be identical. But, just to test, you could select one of the barrels in hammer that is working, go to properties, select the 'copy' button and try pasting it into the properties of one of the ones that doesn't show.

Failing that, you could manually increase the view fade property to some large number, like 20,000. Should make it show up, but it's kindof a hack way to do it (I'm fairly sure it works though).

As for why it happens? I've not heard a good answer to that yet.
