Prototype crashes after certain duration of gameplay

This game is so addicting it's sickening. What I can't get over though is that every time I play it, it crashes at some point, then I load it again, and it crashes sooner than the time before. I have already reinstalled the game, verified game cache, all my drivers are up to date, Direct X is up to date, and when it crashes to the point where I can barely open the game before it crashes again, a restart temporarily fixes it.

What the **** is going on?

I've heard of some issues like this, and creating new save slots, or using the 2nd or 1st or whatever can resolve the problem?

Thanks. Someone else has the same problem. I'll monitor it... Seems pretty common. it's really bugging me cause this game is so awesome... I've had it for two days, and because of this bug I've only just now gotten the whipfist.
