The game's featured in the new issue of Game Informer.

It's an open world game in the vein of Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, set in NYC during a viral outbreak with tons of different power combinations and ways to unfold the story. The game adds a The Thing-esque twist where you can assume the identity of any npc you kill and assimilate, giving you valuable information, new powers and allowing you to blend in with the enemy. One example given was the ability to learn how to pilot an Apache if you assimilate a pilot. I'm pretty thrilled by the concept of leaping over buildings and ripping enemies apart with your bare hands, but the story sounds pretty generic.

Anyone else interested?

The body swapping thing sounds a bit like Messiah. Too bad that game wasn't as good as it should have been.

Has this got anything to do with the film thats being release on 1-18-08?

Not that I know of.

The game takes place in the shoes of Alex Mercer, an experiment that has just woke up and dragged himself off the experimentation slab, with no memory of his past, and stumbled into New York City to find an outbreak of mutations and a strong military presence.

Besides, we all know that 1-18-08 involves a giant lion that no car will ever- OH GOD THERE IT IS. >:3
