This is not a versus thread (had enough of those already), what this is, is a thread to discuss both the XBOX360 and PS3 and what you think will work and won't work for each system independantly (not against each other).

XBOX360: Three CPU's might have a bit of developers screaming cause of the difficulty of developing games on the X360. What I like about the X360 is the console customization and most of the launch titles.

PS3: Nvidia Graphics card looks impressive but sony has a history of "over polishing" the specs. The good thing about the console is that it has a huge array of multimedia disks that can work on it.

I think you have Xbox360 and Ps3 switched around on some parts......

Actually most developers were questioning Ps3's developing games as because of PS2's wasn't exactly the best..... Yeah lets just say that.
Anyway Epic says they like working on the Ps3 and it's easy.
Though what I think your confused about is Multi Core Processing, which on a scale of 1 - 10, current Pc out of order would be 4, while multi-core is a 10 in terms of hardness to program for.

By actual specs and well according to most people the ATI card here is actually better than the Nvidia one.

Of course we wont know the true power of either console until there actually out.

so .. we could just link to all the other xbox360/ps3 threads ? or maybe merge them all into 1 HUGE (dead) horse !

The Tokyo Game Show(9/16 - 9/18) should clear-up a lot of the speculation about what these great new systems are going to be capable of. The next-gen hardware is much closer to actual specs than it was at E3 and so the games they show-off there should be much better indications of how much we should all get excited about our system of choice.

After that, in November the 360 will be out and we can all judge for ourselves how good that is until January when CES 2006 in Las Vegas kicks-off where Sony has said they will really show off their contender for top next-gen console.

All this and amazing PC titles coming out--Should be a very exciting next few months!!!

nvidias card is like 550 mhz and ati is 500 but what does it matter if ati has a 48x graphics card that can run gigabites of info everysecond if you look at the graphics pipelines for the two cards xbox wins sony plans on compressing the video to fit it through theirs if you look at processing power of video card it is still unknown because ati and nvidia have different ways of handeling info

I must have missed something, which PC titles are you referring to? I've been out of the loop with regards to gaming lately.

Is it true that the 360 has a tivo-like thingy? ya know, for doing tivo-like things? :D

Where to begin? Before the PS3 hits the market in the late Spring/Early Summer of 2006, we've got:

FEAR
Fahrenheit(Indigo Prohecy)
Age of Empires 3
Call of Duty 2
Quake 4
Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Tomb Raider: Legend
Star Wars: Empire at War
Dreamfall
Bone: Out from Boneville
Black & White 2
Civilization 4
Day of Defeat:Source(;) )
Serious Sam 2
Myst 5
80 Days

I am sure there are more, but these are the ones I remember that will most likely be released in this time period. I am sure other folks can fill in any gaps I may have. :)

The only one of those i'm interested in is B&W2 (hopefully it'll realise what the original tried to be)

Fahrenheit looks pretty neat too, but I may get the XBox version (I prefer chilled out story driven games on consoles - sat on the sofa infront of a big tv :))

What about Oblivion warbie? You must be intrested in that...
Im intrested in Oblivion and Civ4
